Physical Therapy

 Our physical therapists helps children learn to successfully and independently perform gross motor skills and functional mobility skills. As a child begins to successfully develop these skills, it creates a greater form of independence that helps contribute to achieving a higher sense of self-esteem. 

Diagnostics & Treatment

Our skilled physical therapists will help your child improve strength, mobility, and function through the use of playful and child-friendly exercises and treatment strategies. All physical therapists are credentialed Early Intervention Specialists through the State of Illinois.

Common treatment diagnoses include torticollis, hypotonia, the preterm infant, cerebral palsy, toe walking, muscle weakness and scoliosis. We offer:

  • Standardized evaluation of motor skills and function
  • Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for the infant and child
  • Manual Therapy
  • Myofascial release
  • Craniosacral therapy
  • Joint Mobilization
  • Muscle energy
  • Serial casting of the lower extremities
  • Aquatic (pool) therapy
  • Core strengthening with postural analysis
  • Neuromuscular electrical stimualtion (NMES)
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Orthotics

Other physical therapy offerings include: Treatment of pectus excavatum and carinatum, Listening therapy and Samonal Sound Therapy
